This is the year of immersion at Minnetonka High School! Just a few weeks ago, I was honored to watch our first graduating class of immersion students cross the stage at the June 6 Commencement ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium. A remarkable number of students—17 in Chinese and 58 in Spanish—maintained continuous enrollment in our language immersion program from first through twelfth grade.

Mr. Geldert

Curtis Geldert has walked the halls of Minnetonka High School for as long as he can remember. In 1986, he was Curtis, the quiet kid who sat in the back of the class and whispered sarcastic comments to those around him. Today, he’s the same guy, but at the front of the class as Mr. Geldert, the physics teacher. I just call him Dad.
