Rock Your Socks - World Down Syndrome Day

Kids with mismatched socks

Please join in at school as we wear mismatched "crazy socks" on Friday, March 20th to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (worldwide celebration on March 21st)! The date (3-21) represents Trisomy 21 (the medical term for Down Syndrome), which is a third copy of the 21st chromosome. The “Rock Your Socks” initiative was formed to get people talking and asking questions about Down Syndrome. So grab your wackiest socks and join us as we celebrate the acceptance, respect, and inclusion of individuals with Down Syndrome!

Camp Reading

Congratulations, Excelsior students! You brought in over $60,000 during your 2019 fundraising efforts. We are so proud of all your reading, and hard work to reach your goals!

This is our school's PTO biggest fundraiser, and engages our students in both reading, and raising money for their school! The money raised from this event supports the 35+ PTO-sponsored activities, which all of our students benefit from throughout the school year. Additionally, the money raised funds teacher grants, and other school needs which would otherwise not be made available.
