Minnetonka Schools and HUG offer free home visits to all families in our District with children from birth to one year old. The visit includes a gift from Early Childhood Family Education, a HUG book of fun play ideas for you and your baby, and information on resources and support. Early Childhood Special Education

Early Childhood Special Education is our District's program that provides early intervention for young children, age birth to kindergarten, who show developmental delay in the general areas of: cognitive, speech and language, large and fine motor skills, adaptive/functional skills, vision or hearing losses, and/or social and emotional skills.

If your child receives a formal evaluation to identify specific needs, trained ECSE teachers and specialists will work with you and your child to develop his or her greatest potential. From birth to age three, these Special Education services are delivered to your child primarily in your home or childcare center. From age three to Kindergarten, your child can receive these services at our Minnetonka Community Education Center. Visit the Early Childhood Special Education page for more information.
